Thoughts on Fall 2010

Every season has moments that cause me to REALLY enjoy them but for me there is something extra special about Fall. It makes me feel like it’s time to slow down a bit and take time to regroup.

The winds blow, the leaves fall, outside I begin to smell smoke from the fireplaces in people’s homes, and Thanksgiving and Christmas are right around the corner!

Even the sun is a little different. It seems to bring warmth, but not intense heat; even when the gauge says differently.

It’s also a time when family and friends come together to enjoy each others’ company and rejoice with thanksgiving about the gift of Jesus Christ and the abundant blessings that we are showered with by the Father of lights.

Everyone has good, busy years, and everyone experiences some not so good years. Either way, let’s praise God for His mercies and His goodness because if you have Jesus Christ living in your heart then you have reason to rejoice because eternity in God’s glorious presence awaits you!

What’s your attitude about THIS season? Or, for that matter any season?

Listen to this…the season doesn’t really matter, but your attitude does. I would encourage you to maintain Jesus at the center of everything you do and who you are, and your perspective on life will be right and so will your attitude to God’s glory.

Allow yourself time to slow down a bit and regroup your thoughts, focusing them on Jesus Christ.

Enjoy THIS season – Redeem the time! (Eph. 5:16)

In Christ,

Pastor Raul
