A leaky or sticky shutoff valve is a frustrating problem mid-paddle, and this replacement part solves it cleanly.
The Big Zip EVO Shutoff Valve is a direct replacement for the original valve on Platypus Big Zip EVO Reservoirs, and the updated design is a genuine improvement over what it replaces. A wider flow angle means water moves faster through the system, while the larger on/off lever is easy to operate with cold or gloved hands, which matters when you're out on Canadian water in shoulder season. An embossed water droplet icon on the lever takes away any guesswork about whether flow is open or closed.
It's a small upgrade that makes daily use noticeably more intuitive, and a smart replacement to have on hand before a longer trip rather than after something fails in the field.
- Compatible with: Platypus Big Zip EVO Reservoirs
- Improvement: wider flow angle for faster water delivery
- On/off indicator: embossed water droplet icon
- Lever: enlarged for easier use with gloves
- Function: leak-proof shutoff valve replacement
