• As a step, it works with truck bed accessories (liners, tonneau covers) without blocking access. For protection, it buffers the rear end in tight parking, reducing door dings or bumper scrapes.
• It shields the rear hitch receiver from damage—if you accidentally back into something, the bumper takes the hit instead of the hitch, keeping it functional for towing. When hauling long items (lumber, pipes), it stops the ends from scraping the ground, protecting the cargo from wear.
• Its steel structure integrates OEM-compatible hardware (bolts, brackets) that matches the original’s thread size and strength. This means you can reuse existing factory hardware or use the included OEM-spec parts, ensuring a secure install that meets the vehicle’s original safety standards.
