So how does it work? To situate your mic in the SSM1, simply weave it through the parallel braid-covered elastic bands of each ring, two by two. For beefier mics, insert the body of the mic into the bands without weaving between the bands, to retain the elasticity of the bands. Whether you're replacing a busted shockmount or just looking to upgrade an existing shockmount, the SSM1 Universal Shockmount is a great solution.
