hope you’ve had some time to think about what we covered Sunday morning in Jonah 1 and it is truly resonating in your heart and mind. Remember that God is in a Relentless Pursuit of you.
There is comfort in knowing that when we are sinking we can call out to Jesus to save us and He will immediately stretch His hand out to us, just as He did with Peter (Matt. 14:30-31).
Check this out…God will never leave you nor forsake you. This is both comforting and frightening because He knows everything about us and yet He is faithfully with us in good times and difficult ones.
God is not willing that ANY should perish, but that ALL would come to repentance (2 Peter 3:9).
Yes, Jonah was the reluctant prophet that went in the opposite direction the Lord had sent him. We need to learn from Jonah NOT to wait until we’re thrown overboard and find ourselves sinking in some serious consequences to turn around. Instead, let’s pay attention to the storm warnings, turn and run into the comfort and peace of our Lord, knowing that we are doing the will of God.
God is in a RELENTLESS, PASSIONATE Pursuit of His most prized creation – YOU!
God bless you have a wonderful week in the Lord.
